The Boston Bruins have had plenty of leads so far this season, but turning those into victories has been easier said than done.
The Bruins fell to 7-6-1 when leading at some point in a game with their 3-2 loss against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday. Boston had a two-goal lead in the first period at one point.
"We've got to figure it out," coach Claude Julien told NESN's Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley on "Bruins Overtime Live" after the loss. "When you get a 2-0 lead, this is a tough league and we shouldn't be sitting on that 2-0 lead thinking it's going to be an easy night. We've got to be able to play our game for 60 minutes."
