David Ortiz is just one blast away from the 500-home run club.

The Boston Red Sox designated hitter hit the 499th home run of his career in Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.

It was a three-run homer hit into the right field seats off Rays starter Matt Moore. Ortiz now has 33 home runs and 94 RBIs this season. This homer also was his 32nd at Tropicana Field.

Ortiz has four homers in his last seven games (including Saturday).
