Notre Dame needed a miracle and that's exactly what it got.
It appeared Virginia was about to upset the Fighting Irish after the Cavaliers took a one-point lead with 1:54 remaining. That meant Notre Dame needed to march the length of the field to set up at least a field-goal try with backup quarterback DeShone Kizer under center.
The Fighting Irish didn't need a field goal, though, because Kizer found Will Fuller open for a 39-yard touchdown with only 12 second remaining.
That proved to be the difference in a 34-27 Notre Dame win.
Let's take a look at Virgina fans are dealing with this epic loss.
That looks about right.
