Rich Hill has made the most of his opportunity with the Boston Red Sox this season.

Hill has a 2-1 record and a 1.55 ERA in four starts with the Red Sox. He got his first loss Thursday night, but he still pitched well in Boston's 4-1 loss to the New York Yankees.

"He didn't have a great feel for his curveball early on," NESN's Steve Lyons said on "Red Sox First Pitch" before Boston played the Cleveland Indians on Friday. "It was raining, it was cold, the elements had a little bit to do with that. He has a great game plan. He throws a lot of breaking balls early and then later on he gets a lot of strikeouts with fastballs."
