UFC was hit with some bad news Tuesday.

MMAFighting.com reported that UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, scheduled to face Conor McGregor at UFC 196 next week, has been forced to withdraw from that fight with a foot injury.

MMAFightin.com, citing multiple sources, reported that dos Anjos suffered the foot last week, and that's led the UFC to scramble to find a replacement to fight McGregor, the current UFC featherweight title holder, on March 5 in Las Vegas.

Who replaces Dos Anjos is still very much up in the air, but MMAFighting.com's Arial Helwani did acknowledge that Donald Cerrone could be on the "shortlist" of potential replacements for the injured dos Anjos.
