Add Chris Long to the list of professional athletes who were looking to strike it rich(er) with Wednesday night's record Powerball winning.

The St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams defensive end joined the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Alex Ovechkin and others in the sports world who took a chance with hopes of hitting the $1.5 billion jackpot. While Anthony and Ovechkin were out in the open about their ticket purchases, Long went a little more under-the-radar. Sort of.

Long wore a terrific disguise to a store in Virginia where he made his ticket purchases. While at the store, he was approached for an interview by Charlottesville's NBC affiliate, NBC 29. Long was even interviewed, and his plans for potential Powerball winnings -- which included buying a lot of boats and a Myrtle Beach timeshare for his "old lady" -- aired on the local news with Long being described on screen as "Hopeful Powerball player."

Long tweeted after the story ran that he tried to use an alias, to no avail.

Unfortunately for Long and his old lady, the three winning Powerball tickets came from Florida, Tennessee and California.
