9:20 a.m.: It's the final week of the NFL season, and most teams are pretty banged up. So this Sunday's NESN.com injury update should be chock full of news.
The New England Patriots, who have been plagued by injuries this season, actually got the ball rolling Friday when they ruled out wide receiver Julian Edelman, linebacker Dont'a Hightower, defensive end Chandler Jones and a few others. Safeties Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung and wideout Danny Amendola seem to be a go for Sunday's matchup against the Miami Dolphins, per Pats Pulpit's Rich Hill.
In other interesting news, the Indianapolis Colts will start Josh Freeman at quarterback, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday. The Colts need a miracle to knock the Houston Texans out of the top spot in the AFC South and make the playoffs, and this development certainly doesn't help.
