Bart Scott is at it again.
The former New York Jet -- whose most notable career moment came during his 2010 "can't wait" interview -- joined CBS Sports' Damon Amendolara on his radio show Thursday. The two were discussing Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger when Scott diverged on the topic of toughness, explaining that he once let up a bit on a sack that could've broken Roethlisberger's ribs because he respected his toughness.
When prompted and asked if that hit would've been different for someone like New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, Scott channeled his inner Jet and exploded into a rant.
"The toughest thing about Tom Brady is his chin, because it has the dimple in it, which is a characteristic of most super heroes," Scott explained.
So the Jets never thought Brady was tough?
"C'mon, man. Tom Brady don't think he's tough. Gisele doesn't think Tom Brady is tough," Scott added, dragging Brady's wife into the discussion. "Listen I respect him, but he plays the game differently. It's no different from the way that (Denver Broncos QB) Peyton Manning plays it. But listen, there's certain guys (like) Steve McNair. Tough guy. He was a guy that could hang with anybody."
Scott further elaborated, comparing it to a running back who jukes and spins out of a hit as opposed to one who sees an impending linebacker and takes the hit -- the challenge, if you will -- head on. Brady and Manning, apparently, are the running backs who avoid contact.
What Scott conveniently leaves out is that those players often make highlight-reel plays that lead to touchdowns. Say it's not tough if you want, but the point of the game is to win.
The 35-year-old finishes by calling Brady a "cornball" seven times, adding in "dork" and "awkward" for good measure, calling Gisele "hot" and eventually admitting that Brady is "maybe the best quarterback in the history of football."
But ultimately, he doesn't respect Brady as a "tough guy."

To recap: Scott just sounds like a jealous bully who made up for his lack of relevance with fabricated "toughness" -- like the grade school bully who picks on the smart kid. It's funny, though, because Scott was in the league 11 seasons, retired at age 32, and never played in a Super Bowl.
Brady is in his 16th season, looks better than ever at age 38, has been to six Super Bowls and won four. If his play keeps up, Brady might have a ring for his thumb come February.
Can't wait to see what Scott has to say about it all then.
