Anyone who's ever taken a second to read comments on the Instagram page of a celebrity or sports team knows one thing to be true: It ain't pretty.
Internet commenters -- particularly on Instagram -- have earned a reputation for being unedecuated jerks, and apparently Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins heard enough.
The injured Bills wideout has been frustrating so far this season with his inability to stay on the field. A ankle injury has slowed down Watkins, as he's appeared in just four of the Bills' six games and has been limited to only 11 receptions on 18 targets in limited playing time.
Fans (and fantasy owners) have now taken to calling out Watkins via his Instagram page. After critical comments continued to show up -- even on photos of him and his daughter at Disney -- Watkins lashed out by responding with his own comment.
Even with a handful of spelling and grammar errors, the message is pretty clear.
While Watkins might have deleted the comment, this story might not go away as quickly as he hopes.
