Week 3 is almost here, and running back is the hardest position for fantasy football owners to assess because so many stars have underperformed through two weeks.

Luckily, we have you covered with Week 3 running back rankings to help determine which players to start. Check out our top 10 below.

1. Le'Veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers
Week 3 Opponent: St. Louis Rams
2015 Stats: 0 carries, 0 yards, 0 TDs

Bell will make his season debut Sunday after serving a two-week suspension. He was the most productive running back in the league last season, as an effective rusher and a quality pass-catcher out of the backfield. He will face a Rams defense that has given up the third-most rushing yards this season.

2. Jamaal Charles, Kansas City Chiefs
Week 3 Opponent: Green Bay Packers
2015 Stats: 37 carries, 182 yards, 1 TDs

The Packers have given up the second-most rushing yards, and Charles is one of the most complete players in the league with his ability to rack up yards as a runner or a receiver.

3. Carlos Hyde, San Francisco 49ers
Week 3 Opponent: Arizona Cardinals
2015 Stats: 39 carries, 211 yards, 2 TDs

Hyde leads the NFL in rushing and is earning 5.4 yards per carry. That's pretty impressive for a 49ers team that has trailed a lot this season. The Arizona defense is pretty solid, but Hyde is too talented to bench in any fantasy league.

4. Matt Forte, Chicago Bears
Week 3 Opponent: Seattle Seahawks
2015 Stats: 39 carries, 202 yards, 1 TDs

Forte ranks third in the league in rushing yards and should be an even larger part of the Bears' offense with starting quarterback Jay Cutler out of the Week 3 lineup with an injury. Forte also has a good matchup against a Seahawks defense that's giving up more than 100 yards per game on the ground and has allowed 61 points in two games.

5. Alfred Morris, Washington Redskins
Week 3 Opponent: New York Giants
2015 Stats: 43 carries, 180 yards, 1 TDs

Morris has seen some of his carries go to Matt Jones this season, but the veteran running back remains a reliable starter in any fantasy league. He has gained the sixth-most rushing yards in the league.

6. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
Week 3 Opponent: San Diego Chargers
2015 Stats: 39 carries, 165 yards, 0 TDs

Peterson rebounded from a poor opening week performance with 134 yards rushing and 56 yards receiving in Sunday's win over the Detroit Lions. He has another favorable matchup in Week 3 versus the Chargers.

7. Giovanni Bernard, Cincinnati Bengals
Week 3 Opponent: Baltimore Ravens
2015 Stats: 28 carries, 186 yards, 0 TDs

Bernard has taken the starting running back job from Jeremy Hill, and he's a good play this week against a Ravens defense that gave up 37 points to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday and is without star linebacker Terrell Suggs (season-ending injury).

8. Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks
Week 3 Opponent: Chicago Bears
2015 Stats: 33 carries, 114 yards, 0 TDs

Lynch has struggled this season, but it's not yet time for fantasy owners to panic. He's still one of the top three running backs in all of football, and he has a great matchup against a Chicago defense that has given up 124 rushing yards per game and two touchdowns.

9. Latavius Murray, Oakland Raiders
Week 3 Opponent: Cleveland Browns
2015 Stats: 26 carries, 109 yards, 1 TDs

The Browns give up the most rushing yards in the league and don't have a good defensive front, so we can expect a talented player like Murray to be productive as an RB2.

10. Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers
Week 3 Opponent: Kansas City Chiefs
2015 Stats: 22 carries, 94 yards, 1 TDs

Lacy was carted off the field with an ankle injury Sunday night, but X-rays on his ankle were negative, and reports indicate he could play Monday night against the Chiefs. He's one of the best running backs in the league, so if he's healthy, he should be in your lineup.
