The New England Patriots unveiled their Super Bowl XLIX banner Thursday night at Gillette Stadium.
The Patriots hosted a raucous party before their 2015 NFL season-opening game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The pregame ceremony included performances by the Dropkick Murphys and T-Pain, but the highlight was New England revealing its 2014 championship banner alongside pyrotechnics.
Tom Brady and Co. received a huge ovation when they took the field for the first time. Fans also marked the celebration by holding up signs that spelled out "Super Bowl XLIX Champs" in the crowd.
