Milan Lucic's debut with the Los Angeles Kings was abbreviated.

The Kings' new power forward appeared in his first game with an organization other than the Boston Bruins on Wednesday night as the Kings took on the San Jose Sharks. It took no time for Lucic to be introduced to one of his new team's fiercest rivalries.

It started late in the third period when Sharks forward Logan Couture was coming out of the penalty box. As Couture was stepping out, Couture caught Lucic off guard with a hip check just moments after stepping out of the box. The hit sent Lucic flying through the air and tumbling to the ice.

Lucic immediately responded by getting up, skating across the ice at Couture and trying to knock him into the fifth row.

Lucic received a match penalty for his actions, sending him to an early shower. That marked the end of a frustrating night for Lucic and the Kings. San Jose rolled to a 5-1 win, and Lucic was a minus-2 with just one shot on goal.
