The Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins kicked off their 2015 NFL season at FedEx Field on Sunday, and it was rough to watch.
Lots of penalties and fundamental mistakes cost both teams in the first half, but nothing could compare to one hilarious play in the third quarter during which both teams had trouble recovering a fumble.
Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill was about to be sacked for a loss when he fumbled the ball. It kept rolling toward midfield while two Miami offensive lineman failed to recover it.
A Washington Redskins player appeared to finally grab it, but then he lost it. Fortunately for him, one of his teammates recovered the ball on the ground to give Washington possession.
