After a scorching-hot 6-2-2 start to the season, the New York Islanders skated into a bit of a road block.
The team slid through a 1-2-2 stretch, averaging just 1.6 goals per game after netting 3.4 per game in their first 10 contests. That five-game skid coincided with captain John Tavares missing several games due to sickness and some line shifts to help adjust to the giant hole in the lineup.
With Tavares back on the ice, New York is hoping to regain its early-season form -- a task the Boston Bruins hope to contain Sunday evening on the road.
NESN's Dale Arnold and Billy Jaffe took a look across the sheet and broke it all down on the EchoStor "Bruins Face-Off Live" pregame show.
