Darius Wade's season over.

The Boston College quarterback left Friday's 14-0 loss to Florida State in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury. And now the Eagles are confirming prior reports that the injury will sideline him for the rest of the season.

It's a tough break for the sophomore. He finished the year 21-of-42 passing for 232 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. The dual-threat quarterback also ran for 73 yards on 22 carries.

Both Jeff Smith and Troy Flutie saw action at quarterback after Wade's injury. BC's next game is at Alumni Stadium on Saturday.
