Sometimes it helps to have a little luck on your side.
That certainly appeared to be the case for Vanderbilt center Josh Henderson on Tuesday night, as he hit one of the most incredible buzzer-beaters we've seen in a very long time.
The play actually started with a remarkable block from Commodores guard Matthew Fisher-Davis who skied out of nowhere to block a shot from a University of Florida player. Fisher-Davis' block went straight to Henderson standing at his own free-throw line.
Henderson caught the ball with 2.7 seconds on the clock. He quickly pivoted and fired a shot without even jumping and, well, you know the rest.
The 3-pointer, just the second of Henderson's career, gave Vandy a 40-35 lead heading to halftime. The Commodores went on to win by 13.
