EDMONTON – There was a heavy police presence in a west Edmonton neighbourhood Sunday morning after reports of gunfire.

Officers were called to the area of 159 Street and 103 Avenue at around 8:30 a.m.

Police said at least two vehicles, possibly three, were involved in the shooting.

Police wouldn't say whether any shots hit any nearby homes. It's not known if anyone is in custody or if anyone was injured.

At least one block was cordoned off with police tape late Sunday morning as officers continued to investigate.
