Zach Sill might not escape punishment for injuring Adam McQuaid, after all.

The NHL announced Wednesday that Sill will have a hearing to review his check on Adam McQuaid, which injured the Bruins defenseman during the Washington Capitals' 3-2 win over Boston Bruins the previous night.

Early in the second period, Sill hit McQuaid from behind, sending him head-first into the boards. McQuaid had to be helped off the ice and didn't return to the game.

The referee declined to penalize Sill.

Sill should learn his fate quickly. The league could decide to punish him with a fine, suspension or both.
