FOXBORO, Mass. -- New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkwoski's absence from practice Wednesday wasn't related to his knee injury.

Gronkowski's absence wasn't injury related, according to the Patriots' injury report. Gronkowski's friend, Dana Parenteau, passed away Friday. His funeral was Wednesday morning in Rhode Island.
