The 2015 Heisman Trophy finalists were announced Monday night. The Heisman is awarded to the top overall college football player every season.

The list was short and sweet with just three finalists.

Derrick Henry, Running Back, Alabama
Henry broke Herschel Walker's single-season SEC rushing record and sits at 1,986 yards and 23 touchdowns with potentially two games remaining in his season. Henry surpassed 100 yards in the SEC Championship Game for the second time in his career, becoming the only player ever to go over 100 yards in the title game twice. Alabama is 12-1 this season and earned the No. 2 seed in the College Football Playoff.

Christian McCaffrey, Running Back, Stanford
McCaffrey has flown under the radar while leading the Cardinal to an 11-2 record and the Pac-12 conference title. The explosive sophomore is a dynamic runner, pass catcher and kick returner, and surpassed Barry Sanders' NCAA record for most all-purpose yards in a single season (3,250).

Deshaun Watson, Quarterback, Clemson
Watson has quarterbacked the Tigers to an undefeated 13-0 record and the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff. He's completed 69.5 percent of his passes this season for 3,512 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also adds 887 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns to his resume.
