Robert Kraft and Roger Goodell appear to have made up -- at least sort of.
There's been plenty of reported contention between the New England Patriots owner and the NFL commissioner throughout the entire Deflategate ordeal, but their relationship is better now, USA TODAY reported Friday.
The USA TODAY report cited several sources saying the relationship is back in "working order," even after Goodell and the NFL handed heavy punishment on Kraft's Patriots and New England quarterback Tom Brady. Kraft ripped the league in July, saying he was "wrong to put my faith in the league" after the NFL upheld Brady's four-game suspension.
U.S. District Judge Richard Berman eventually vacated that suspension, and apparently time has healed some of the wounds when it comes to the Kraft-Goodell relationship.
"The relationship is not what it was, but it's not bad," an anonymous NFL owner told USA TODAY.
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay did go on the record, telling USA TODAY that he thinks the relationship between Kraft and Goodell is "strong."
Kraft remains one of the league's most influential owners and has worked closely with Goodell in the past on league-altering projects. Kraft also was front and center in 2014, defending Goodell for his handling of the Ray Rice domestic violence issue.
