Deadlines can pose a real problem to sports reporters simply because of the unpredictable nature of games. And one local reporter in Michigan found that out the hard way Saturday.
In case you missed it, Michigan State beat Michigan 27-23 on Saturday after picking up a dropped punt snap and running it back for a touchdown in the last 10 seconds of the game. However, WZZM 13's Jamal Spencer already had gone live as the improbable ending was happening.

Ouch.
Spencer's mistake could have happened to anyone, as the station probably had limited time and asked him to go on thinking the Wolverines had the game in the bag. It proved to be pretty embarrassing, but Spencer owned up to it on Twitter.
