Boston Red Sox interim manager Torey Lovullo had the chance encounter of a lifetime Tuesday.

Lovullo met President Barack Obama, who was staying in the same hotel in New York.

"He wanted to talk about the (Chicago) White Sox, he wanted to talk about how our season was going," Lovullo said on "Red Sox Gameday Live" before Boston played the New York Yankees on Tuesday. "He's fairly dialed in to what's happening in Major League Baseball, and we had a great conversation."
