The Baltimore Ravens lost their Week 1 matchup 19-13 to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, but that wasn't the worst news to come out of the game.

Terrell Suggs, a key part of the Ravens' excellent defense and one of the better linebackers/defensive ends in the NFL, suffered a torn Achilles and will miss the remainder of the 2015 season, the team announced via Twitter.

Suggs, 33, is a six-time Pro Bowler. His loss weakens the Ravens, but they still should be good enough defensively to compete for the AFC North division title.

Baltimore held the Peyton Manning-led Denver offense to just 219 yards of total offense, including zero touchdowns and one interception. In fact, the Ravens' only touchdown in the game was a pick-six by cornerback Jimmy Smith.
