It appeared the Boston Red Sox were headed for their third last place finish in four years after a rough start in 2015. However, the Red Sox managed to turn things around, leading to a growing sense of hope for the future.

The Red Sox have won their last three series and seven of their last 10 games. They look to continue that success this week as they travel to Baltimore to face the Orioles for a three-game series.

"I don't think you'll ever see a team like this at this time of the year with the kind of energy they have," NESN's Dennis Eckersley said on "Red Sox First Pitch" before Monday's game. "Seriously, most teams are playing it out -- they have more veterans. This team has so many guys trying to make their mark, they really are."
