8:40 a.m. ET: Good things come to those who wait.
In this instance, the reward after what felt like an eternal offseason is a glorious slate of 13 Week 1 games to kick off the first Sunday of the NFL season.
In a vacuum, you'd expect every player on each 53-man roster to be ready to go for their season opener. But this obviously isn't the case, as several players are dealing with nagging injuries that could keep them off the field in Week 1.
We've already learned New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz will be sidelined Sunday, but there are a few other wideouts whose status remains in question as game day approaches -- Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal of the Chicago Bears, to name a few.
It can be a lot to keep track of, but we've got you covered. Check back in throughout the day, and we'll keep you updated with the latest injury news as it comes out.
