The Mets clinched the National League East with their 10-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cubs celebrated their postseason berth after losing to the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-0. New York will play in the postseason for the first time since 2006. The one constant during that long drought was David Wright, who professed his appreciation for the franchise and its fans after the win.
