It's officially Friday on the east coast, which means we're officially less than a week away from NFL football that matters.
That also means the NFL preseason finally is over, as all 32 teams were in action Thursday night. To celebrate, we rounded up a few of the best-worst plays of the evening. Enjoy.
-- Buffalo Bills quarterback Matt Simms throws (fumbles?) the ball in the wrong direction against the Detroit Lions in a 17-10 loss.
Seriously, what was he thinking?
It wasn't the only wild play from that game though. We're not even going to try to explain this one, just watch.
-- Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Chase Daniels got a ball swatted back in his face, but then was demolished by the ball swatter after the play was dead.
The Chiefs won 24-17.
-- This wasn't during an actual game, but the Denver Nuggets mascot was on the field for some halftime antics at the Broncos game and laid some kid out.
-- Finally, Angelo Blackson, a 318-pound rookie defensive end, made a Willie Mays-like basket catch for a touchdown on a throw from his kicker on a botched field goal attempt. Your highlight of the night.
Never change, preseason football. Never change.
