If you were caught up in the fallout of Tom Brady's big win in federal court Thursday, you might have missed this little tidbit: College football is BACK.

Thursday night marked the first slate of Division I games, and it didn't disappoint. How do we know this? Because a player named Jake Butt caught a touchdown pass, and the Internet reacted accordingly.

Butt, a junior tight end at Michigan, scored the Wolverines' first TD of the season on an impressive catch in the third quarter against Utah.

The fact remains, however, that his last name is Butt, and the Twitter universe wasn't about to let that layup go.

Butt's finished with an impressive eight catches for 93 yards and a score, yet his efforts ultimately proved fruitless, as Michigan suffered a 24-17 loss in Jim Harbaugh's coaching debut.

But let's get back to the issue at hand.

Nice work, everyone.
