America was a lot different in 1985, the year of the Kansas City Royals' only World Series title before they defeated the New York Mets in a thrilling Game 5 on Sunday night to claim their second championship in franchise history.
Thirty years is a long time. Just think, we didn't have cell phones, iPods or the internet in 1985.
