WINNIPEG -- Police are warning the public about the dangers of taking prescribed drugs, after a dangerous amount of heart and blood pressure medication were stolen from a Transcona pharmacy.
The theft happened on February 25, when 30 tablets of Amlopine and 30 tablets of Metoprolol were stolen from the pharmacy. Police would not disclose the name of the business.
Police are reminding the public about the dangers of taking medication when its not prescribed by a medical professional.
Anyone who is offered prescription drugs that are not prescribed to them is asked to to contact the police.
