Friday could be a huge day for the UConn basketball team.

The Huskies begin their American Athletic Conference tournament against Cincinnati in a game that has NCAA Tournament implications for both teams.

Both teams sit on the bubble, although both clubs are favored by bracketologists to make the tournament. However, a bad loss on Friday paired with strong play from other teams across the country could mean bad news for either club. Then again, a big showing in the AAC tournament will bolster each club's resume.

UConn and Cincinnati will tip off Friday afternoon in Orlando shortly after the conclusion of the day's opener pitting Temple and South Florida against each other.
