Halifax Regional Police say impaired driving is to blame for a multi-vehicle crash in downtown Halifax.

Investigators say a 20-year-old woman was driving her car southbound on Barrington Street when it struck a utility pole and veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with two other vehicles.

The crash happened around 9 p.m., on Friday. Luckily, officers say there were no injuries as a result of the crash.

The female driver was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. She was released from police custody and will appear in court at a later date.
