EDMONTON - Darnell Nurse may not be in the Edmonton Oilers lineup Thursday night when the team takes on the Minnesota Wild as he faces a potential suspension.
During the Oilers game against San Jose Monday, Nurse went after Sharks defenceman Roman Polak. Nurse went after Polak after the Sharks blue-liner delivered what was initially believed to be a heavy hit on forward Matt Hendricks.
Review of the play showed the Sharks defenceman's stick hit the Oilers winger's skate, causing him to crash into the boards.

Hendricks admitted after the game Polak didn't do anything wrong.
But the Oilers defenceman left Polak bloody during the one-sided fight.
Nurse didn't receive an instigator penalty, but he'll have a league hearing Thursday for his actions.
