CALGARY – Police are searching for six suspects wanted in connection to a pair of home invasions, including one where two six-week-old puppies were stolen.
The first home invasion happened in the community of Edgemont on Wednesday night.
Police were called to a home the 200 block of Edgeburn Lane at around 11:30 p.m. after three suspects forced their way into a home.
No one was injured, but police said the suspects stole two pit-bull type puppies from the house.
The homeowner is cooperating with investigators.
Police were later called to a home along Citadel Peak Circle at around 3:40 a.m.
Investigators said three masked men armed with weapons forced their way into the home, tying up two residents.
One of the residents suffered minor facial injuries. EMS transported him to hospital for precautionary reasons. The other resident was uninjured.
The homeowner indicated to police the home was a legal grow operation. Investigators said one of the suspects was able to make off with an undisclosed amount of marijuana.
Police say at this time there's no reason to believe the two incidents are related.
