Do you think the Minnesota Timberwolves ever sit around and wonder what could have been?

With Stephen Curry making headlines pretty much every time he touches the basketball for the Golden State Warriors, it must be pretty hard for the T-Wolves not to think about what it would be like if he was playing in Minnesota. Because in case you didn't remember, the Wolves selected not one, but two point guards over Curry in the 2009 NBA draft.

Of course, it's easy to look back and say Curry should have been selected No. 1 in that draft -- that honor went to Los Angeles Clippers center Blake Griffin -- now that he's arguably the best player in the league in 2016. But the Warriors selected Curry at No. 7, immediately after Minnesota's two picks, and it's just a little crazy to think the T-Wolves passed over him twice.

Instead, Minnesota selected Ricky Rubio at No. 5 and Jonny Flynn at No. 6. We can give the Timberwolves a pass on Rubio, as he was ranked higher than Curry pretty much across the board. However, Flynn was demoted to the D-League midway through his second season and hasn't played in the NBA since the 2011-12 season.

Not everyone believed Curry could play point in the NBA, but there was nearly a consensus he was the best shooter in the draft. And considering the Timberwolves picked two point guards anyway, it's pretty wild they didn't take a chance on Curry.
