Surrey RCMP are asking for your help finding a suspicious pick up truck last seen in Newton.
Someone was heard calling for help from inside the truck.
It was last spotted Thursday afternoon, just after 1 p.m., near 123 Street and 84 Avenue. It stopped and a passenger in the front got out and began assaulting a person in the back.
The truck then left the scene, heading east on 84 Avenue.
It is described as a red four-door Ford 150 with chrome wheels, chrome running boards and a black cover over the box.
The truck was last seen driving east on 80 Avenue towards King George Boulevard, and then turning south from 80 Avenue onto the boulevard.
The front passenger is described as a South Asian man, heavy set, and approximately 6'0" tall. He was wearing a blue dress shirt and black dress pants.
No description of the victim or driver was obtained.
The Surrey RCMP Major Crime Unit is leading this priority investigation.Investigators have already canvassed the area of the assault for further witnesses and surveillance video.


"We believe someone will recognize this distinctive truck and let police know it's whereabouts," said Cpl. Scotty Schumann in a release. "The safety of the truck's occupants are our primary concern at this point and we will be working hard to find them and the truck to determine what's occurred."
