CHERRYVILLE -- Vernon Search and Rescue is looking for six missing snowmobilers in the Cherryville area.

The search got underway Monday morning after the six failed to return Sunday.

All six are from the Vernon area.

The area where the sledders were reported missing is said to be a very technical area.

A helicopter is flying over the area to assess the risk of avalanche before crews can begin their search.
