After losing their first game in the opening draw Jennifer Jones bounced back on Sunday morning as they defeated Prince Edward Island's Suzanne Birt at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Grand Prairie.

Jones and her Team Canada posted a 9-4 win in draw three. They scored deuces in the third, fifth, seventh and ninth ends for their first victory of the event to improve to 1-1.

Canada will get the afternoon draw off but will return to face Northern Ontario's Krista McCarville in Sunday evening's draw five.

Manitoba, skipped by Kerri Einarson, stumbled on Sunday morning. After winning big over British Columbia on Saturday night Manitoba suffered a 9-3 loss to Nova Scotia's Jill Brothers. Nova Scotia stole a total of eight points in the victory. Einarson struggled to find her draw weight and gave up steals of three and four points in the fourth and fifth ends respectively.

Manitoba played without second Liz Fyfe who reportedly has the flu. Alternate Briane Meilleur threw second stones for Manitoba. They are also at 1-1 with their next game on Sunday night against Ontario's Jenn Hanna.
