CALGARY – Alberta Premier Rachel Notley will be visiting Calgary on Friday where it's expected she will announce more funding to help fight flooding.
The government will be providing grants for flood mitigation projects throughout southern Alberta as part of the Alberta Community Resilience Program.
Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi and Minister of Environment and Parks Shannon Phillips will join Notley at Eau Clair Park at 10 a.m. to unveil details of the Calgary projects.

The Calgary announcement is one of three scheduled to happen on Friday; a second news conference is scheduled in Medicine Hat at 1 p.m. and a third will happen in Lethbridge at 2 p.m.
Calgary was among several communities in southern Alberta devastated by widespread flooding in 2013 which caused millions of dollars in damage.
