SASKATOON - The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is calling for the province to sell or shut down the Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC). The taxpayers watchdog says that the provincially subsidized bus service is no longer affordable now that we're going further into debt.

The province gave STC $13 million in 2014, and cut that back to $10 million in 2015 to continue regular operations. Despite these efforts, ridership and revenue have declined.
