Of the four remaining starting quarterbacks in the NFL playoffs, three were No. 1 overall picks in the NFL draft. The other -- Tom Brady -- has a friend who washes dishes in Ann Arbor, Mich., remind him he was the No. 199 pick.

The New England Patriots quarterback's friendship with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has received plenty of air time this season, but perhaps we should be looking more at Jay Flannelly, who Brady has known since his playing days at the University of Michigan.

Flannery, who now works as a dishwasher, was a student assistant for the Wolverines back when Brady was fighting for playing time with Drew Henson. Flannery also was the person who asked Brady to help bring Jim Harbaugh back and coach Michigan, and the one who helped Brady deal with a heckler during an intramural basketball game.

But the weekly scouting reports, which Flannery recently described to Sports Illustrated's Michael Rosenberg, that he sends to Brady continue to make the most impact. And his latest report reminded the QB where he was drafted back in 2000, and where Carson Palmer, Cam Newton and Peyton Manning were in comparison.

Therefore, even a four-time Super Bowl champion still has a chip on his shoulder.
