The Internet was its usual zany self Sunday after Blair Walsh missed a chip-shot field goal with less than 30 seconds remaining in the Minnesota Vikings' 10-9 NFC Wild Card Game loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Some people felt bad for the Vikings kicker while others offered encouragement. Much of the social media activity that surrounded the colossal choke job poked fun at Walsh and the Vikings, though.
Even Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette joined in on the postgame attack.
Lockette posted a hilarious Steve Harvey meme on Instagram shortly after Seattle's playoff win. Harvey, of course, sent social media into a frenzy last month when he announced the wrong winner of the Miss Universe pageant and sports fans since have used the mishap to troll athletes who screw up.
Lockette is out with a season-ending neck injury suffered Nov. 1. Clearly, he's maintaining a good sense of humor while sidelined, however, even if his laughs come at others' expense.
