New England Patriots wide receiver Keshawn Martin received some good news before his team's AFC Divisional Playoff game.
Martin has signed a two-year, $3 million contract extension with the Patriots, ESPN's Field Yates reported Saturday morning, citing a source.
The Boston Globe's Ben Volin later reported additional details about the wideout's new deal.
Martin, a fourth-round draft pick of the Houston Texans in 2012, is in his first season with the Patriots. He's seen action in nine games for New England, catching 24 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns.
The 25-year-old's most productive performance came in Week 16, when he caught seven balls for 68 yards and was targeted 11 times in an overtime loss to the New York Jets.
