For Kelly Olynyk, downtown Toronto would be a perfect place to demonstrate his long-range shooting ability.

Olynyk said Friday he'd enjoy competing in the NBA's Three-Point Contest during All-Star Weekend. Olynyk has been one of the NBA's hottest long-range shooters in recent weeks and the Toronto-born big man eyes on a spot in the sharp-shooting showcase, which takes place Feb. 13 at the Air Canada Centre in his hometown.

"That would be fun," Olynyk said before the Boston Celtics' game against the Chicago Bulls when asked if he'd like to participate in the three-point contest. "Especially in Canada."

Olynyk, 24, currently is shooting 43.3 percent from beyond the arc for the season. His 48.8 percentage since Dec. 1 is second only to J.J. Reddick among all NBA players that shoot at least two three-pointers per game.

The NBA will soon name the six shooters, who will compete to unseat Steph Curry as All-Star Weekend's three-point champion.

Why not Olynyk try to prove there's no place like home.
