The Washington Capitals have the best record in the NHL thanks to their 3-2 road win against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Tuesday night, but they certainly had to fight for it.
Bruins coach Claude Julien spoke with NESN's Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley on "Bruins Overtime Live" following the loss and wasn't terribly disappointed with his team, despite the loss.
"I think in the situation we're in, missing some key guys, we almost had to play a perfect game to beat those guys," Julien said. "I think our compete level was there, I don't think we ever quit and we gave ourselves a chance.
"You're kind of looking for that break along the way somewhere and it wasn't there tonight."
