David Pastrnak is expected to miss his second consecutive game as the Boston Bruins look to close out their underwhelming five-game road trip on a high note.

Pastrnak, who sat out Wednesday's loss to the Philadelphia Flyers with an upper body injury, reportedly participated in morning skate at the First Niagara Center but is not expected to suit up Friday night against the Buffalo Sabres.

"I don't think he'll be going again (Friday night)," Bruins coach Claude Julien told reporters, via BostonBruins.com.

It appears Julien has decided to return to his usual line combinations for the Atlantic Division tilt, as Jimmy Hayes was back on the third line during morning skate and Brett Connolly was back on the first, according to the team.

The Bruins have been in a tailspin of late, losing each of their last three games and eight of their last 10. They fell 6-3 to the Sabes in the teams' lone meeting this season, with Buffalo rallying for five third-period goals and getting a hat trick from North Chelmsford, Mass., native Jack Eichel.

"We're not playing bad hockey, but I think we can play better," Bruins forward Max Talbot told reporters Friday morning. "And at the end of the day, it's the results that count."

Robin Lehner, who suffered a high ankle sprain in the Sabres season opener and has not played in an NHL game since, will start in net against the Bruins. Boston is expected to counter with backup goalie Jonas Gustavsson, who has appeared in just one game since Dec. 26.
