The Russell Athletic Bowl very well could have been a playoff game if things worked out slightly differently during the regular season.

The 11-2 North Carolina Tar Heels meet the 9-3 Baylor Bears in Orlando, Fla., on Tuesday, and it should be one of the best of the college football bowl games. Injuries to Baylor's first and second string quarterbacks put the playoffs out of reach for the Bears, while the Tar Heels nearly knocked off No. 1 Clemson for the ACC title.
