Terrell Owens is persistent.

Owens caused some Internet buzz last week when he reposted an Instagram photo from a New England Patriots fan asking the organization to sign the veteran wide receiver. T.O. took things to another level this week by lobbying on both Facebook and Instagram for a chance to sign with the Patriots and help Tom Brady, who's currently working with a depleted receiving corps.

First, there were these posts featuring T.O. in Pats duds.

The response, as you'd imagine, was intense, as Patriots fans debated the pros and cons of signing a polarizing 42-year-old receiver to help New England with both Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski sidelined with injuries.

Owens, perhaps feeling the urge to defend his stance, on Thursday posted a link on Facebook to a story explaining that Brady has more receiving yards (36) this season than a $6 million receiver. T.O. included the caption, "I tried to tell y'all Patriots fans love me! Tom wouldn't need to do this if I was on the team."
