The New England Patriots might be without another key member of their offense.
Starting running back LeGarrette Blount went down with a hip injury in the second quarter of Sunday's 27-6 win over the Houston Texans, and it could end up sidelining him. Blount was walking with crutches at the Patriots' practice facility Tuesday, per ESPN's Mike Reiss, and the network's Ed Werder added Blount could miss "some time."
The Patriots already lost running back Dion Lewis and left tackle Nate Solder for the season, and wide receiver Julian Edelman has been out since breaking his foot on Nov. 15. They got tight end Rob Gronkowski back for Sunday's game, but it's definitely been tough going for their offense.
If Blount misses time, Brandon Bolden likely would fill in as the starting back, while James White would take the passing back role. Blount has 703 yards, six rushing touchdowns and one receiving TD so far this season.
